White desert, wild lions and the Somnath Jyotirlinga.
6–7 DaysBest time · November to February, for the White Rann and Rann UtsavFrom ₹29,000 per person
Why visit
The Rann of Kutch turns into a white salt desert only between November and February, which is also when the Rann Utsav tent camp at Dhordo is open. Pairing that with a jeep safari at Gir — the only place outside Africa with wild lions — and the Somnath Jyotirlinga on the way back covers desert, wildlife and pilgrimage in one trip without repeating a landscape.
- Sabarmati Ashram and a heritage walk through Ahmedabad's pols
- The White Rann at Dhordo, best at sunset
- A jeep safari for Asiatic lions at Gir National Park
